In the Cavaliers’ four-game sweep of the Pacers, James scored 131 points. That allowed him to go past Kobe Bryant for most career points during the postseason, with James now having 5,703 for his playoff career. He bypassed Bryant during his memorable Game 3 performance in which he scored 41 points, leading the Cavs to a historic comeback win.
Against Cleveland’s next opponent, James figures to take one step closer to the top of this category. That’s because he’s currently only 59 points behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who’s in second place with 5,762 points. Surpassing the all-time leader, Michael Jordan, could happen this year, since James is just 284 points behind him.
