5. Continue Superb Three-Point Shooting
With James being the best player on the floor, Cleveland has a legitimate shot at repeating as NBA champions. There’s no doubt about that.
It should also help that the Cavs are the only team that is comfortable shooting three-for-three with the Warriors. In these 2016-17 playoffs, Cleveland is ranked first in 3-pointers made per game (14.6) and three-point percentage (43.5 percent) and was second only to the Spurs in three-point efficiency during the regular season.
In addition to James and Love, shooting guards J.R. Smith and Kyle Korver should anticipate playing a significant role by keeping the Cavs’ scoring momentum going with their sharpshooting ability from downtown.
Viewers should also expect Cleveland power forward Channing Frye to have a major impact off the bench, as he has averaged 7.1 points and 3.2 rebounds throughout the playoffs and has made a ridiculous 20-of-38 three-point attempts.
During the postseason, only one Cavs player in the team’s rotation is shooting under 40 percent from three-point range, and that’s Irving, who’s one of the league’s best scorers and is still making a respectable 35.6 percent of his shots taken from behind the arc.
