1. Dwyane Wade

This is likely only going to happen if the Cavaliers low-ball Smith and he chooses to go elsewhere. That’s because the money that Wade is asking for simply isn’t available, unless Gilbert wants really wants to go all in.

Supposedly, the Bulls are targeting Wade if he leaves Miami, but his close friendship with James and the seemingly better chance at grabbing another championship might entice him to be swayed toward playing at the Q full-time. He won’t have to play excess minutes, which might keep his shaky health in check.

There are others who are unrestricted free agents, but either are out of any realistic budget the Cavs have or not worth what they’d be asking. In any event, the postseason proved the value of having quality depth, so taking steps to address that problem is at the top of David Griffin’s to-do list.
