During the postseason, they sandwiched a pair of six-game battles with a sweep of the Utah Jazz, but then were taken to seven games before knocking off the Celtics, the last title in the Kobe Bryant era. The team closed with a 27-16 finish, with seven losses in their last 11 regular season games, after a strong 30-9 start.
