The details regarding the contract negotiations between the Cleveland Cavaliers and acting head coach Larry Drew have been somewhat confusing so far, but according to a recent report, progress is being made.

It was also reported that Drew does not want the current lack of clarity to distract his players from having fun playing the game.

Though Drew hasn’t had a lot of experience acting as the Cavs’ head coach, he has certainly proven that he can win games. Last season, Drew led the Cavs to nine wins in 10 games when former head coach Tyronn Lue was forced to take a leave from the team due to medical issues. That trend continued when Drew helped the Cavs get their first win of the season earlier this week.
Hopefully, Drew and the Cavs are able to get a deal done sooner rather than later so that the entire organization can begin looking towards the future.
