3. Still Favorites in the East
The Eastern Conference has been notorious for being a weak conference. While the Cavs haven’t exactly dominated the East, four-time MVP James has.
No matter who he represents, everyone knows the team James is on is usually the heavy favorite to win the Eastern Conference. The script hasn’t changed over the offseason.
Although several teams have made improvements, none appear to be strong enough to upset the defending champions. The rudimentary route to the finals will give the Cavs time to rest and get ready for its Western Conference opponent.
