Despite only being able to play 27 games in the 2014-15 season due to injuries in both feet, 2013-14 NBA MVP Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder surely deserves the number two spot on our top 10 list of small forwards going into next season. A six-time All-Star and four-time NBA Scoring Champion, Durant is fully expecting to be 100 percent healthy for the 2015-16 season.

“We’re doing X-rays every two weeks, and it’s looking good,” said Durant. “So I’m excited to get back, man. There’s no pain. I’m looking forward to getting back. This is the toughest year I’ve ever been through in my life as far as basketball is concerned.”

In just 27 games last season due to lingering injuries, Durant still averaged 25.4 points, 6.6 boards and 4.1 assists in 33.8 minutes per game. A fully healthy Russell Westbrook (who led the league in scoring with 28.1 points per game) to go along with Durant only means trouble for the rest of the league.
