Although the Dallas Mavericks had a massive contract fallout with Los Angeles Clippers star center DeAndre Jordan, they still possess a good deal of talent outside of the center position. One of those starters in Dallas is small forward Chandler Parsons who, when consistently healthy, is a very dangerous all-around scorer who can drain a string of three pointers with confidence.

After three successful seasons with the Houston Rockets, the 38th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft signed a three-year, $46 million offer sheet from the Mavs. The Rockets declined to match the offer, so Parsons was officially Dallas’ new starting small forward on July 15th, 2014.

In his first year with the Mavs, Parsons averaged 15.7 points, 4.9 boards, 2.4 assists and one steal in 33.1 minutes per game. Following the Mavs’ series loss in five games to the Rockets in which Parsons only played in Game 1, he elected to undergo right knee surgery. Fully healthy heading into the 2015-16 season, expect his numbers to go up across the board.
