Kyrie Irving entered the 2014-15 season hounded by questions. How would he play alongside LeBron James? Was he just a player putting up stats on a bad team? Did his defense negate his brilliance on offense?

Irving answered these questions and more by improving on the defense end, fitting in seamlessly next to James, and proving that he belongs amongst the league’s elite point guards.

Irving stepped up as a potent second option for the Cleveland Cavaliers scoring 30 or more points in over 10 games, including two games with over 50 points. While his defense did improve, he still has a long way to go before being considered a good defender. But at just 23 years old, the sky is the limit for the young Cavs point guard.
