7. Momentum from NBA Finals
Though it was tough watching the Cavaliers lose their last three games in the NBA Finals, it doesn’t mean they won’t take away momentum from last season’s loss.
With Timofey Mozgov and Dellavedova as the team’s second and third-best players, Cleveland managed to win two games over the best team in the NBA in the Finals.
Griffin had the following to say in his end-of-season press conference:
“I think we learned an awful lot from this run. … I think because we have it so fresh in our mind what that level of competitiveness looks like (the NBA Finals), it helps us.”
