2003 NBA Draft

Otherwise known as the LeBron draft, the top choice changed the trajectory of the Cavaliers’ franchise, as LeBron James eventually helped them reach the NBA Finals for the first (and so far only) time. After the Detroit Pistons bungled the next pick, Darko Milicic, the Denver Nuggets chose Carmelo Anthony, who later gravitated to New York. The next two choices, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, would later join James to help the Miami Heat to make four consecutive Finals appearances and two NBA titles. Other quality personnel from this draft were David West, Nick Collison, Mo Williams, Kirk Hinrich and Luke Ridnour.
