For sheer quality at the top, this year makes the list. The top two choices that year were Oscar Robertson by the Cincinnati Royals and the logo himself, Jerry West by the newly-transplanted Los Angeles Lakers. Both went on to legendary careers and are players that were no-doubt Hall of Famers. Just four picks after West, the St. Louis Hawks chose another Hall of Famer in Lenny Wilkens. Three other players chosen who had lengthy NBA careers were Satch Sanders, Al Attles and Darrall Imhoff.
