On February 4, 2009, topping his previous year’s effort by a point, James led the team to a 107-102 victory over the Knicks in Madison Square Garden. He did come up short in one respect: the night before his 52 points, Kobe Bryant slapped 61 on New York in the same building. However, James joined Michael Jordan as the only player ever to have multiple 50-point games at the Garden.
