7 Reasons Why Kyrie Irving is Better than Russell Westbrook
- Updated: December 12, 2014

2. Better Jump Shooter
As mentioned before, Kyrie Irving was the winner of the 2013 Foot Locker Three-Point Contest, and this wasn’t by some sheer stroke of good luck. Statistically, Irving has been a better jump shooter already in his three years of pro ball than Westbrook has been over the course of seven years. Just on three pointers alone, Irving averages 1.7 made three pointers for his career at a 38.1% shooting clip, while Westbrook puts up a measly .7 per game on a 30.6% shooting clip. Also, according to ESPN.com, Kyrie has a shooting efficiency of 50.1% for his career, his highest being this season (54.2%), while Westbrook had never eclipsed the 50% mark until this season (50.9%).
