At the age of 39, Carter’s numbers have dipped for the second year in a row, with his formerly strong three-point touch now at just under 29 percent. His contract for next season is for $4.2 million, with $2 million of that guaranteed. If the Cavaliers are looking for one more veteran with leadership capabilities, Carter could be an option. However, the team is presumably looking for a little more production, which may remove him from their search.
