As ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported, the Cavaliers are the prohibitive favorites to win the NBA Finals.
It will be necessary that the Cavs avoid the pitfalls of buying into their own headlines. The Eastern Conference is down, but there are still formidable opponents in the way of a return to the finals. The Miami Heat have their own “Big Three” in Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, and Goran Dragic. The Chicago Bulls, when healthy, will have the talent and depth to challenge any championship-aspiring team.
When healthy, however, the Cavs are superior to any of these teams.
It will be important for the Cavs to treat each part of the season as an opportunity to prepare and improve.
