5 Players the Cleveland Cavaliers Could Be Looking to Target with Their Trade Exceptions
- Updated: July 27, 2015
2. Arron Afflalo, SG/SF, New York Knicks
The Cavaliers recently added some depth behind James in the form of long-time NBA veteran Richard Jefferson. After that, the Cavs do not have many viable options in providing the four-time MVP with relief. Afflalo would provide this and much more.
Afflalo was recently acquired by the New York Knicks, but expectations are that the Knicks will once again struggle to mount a playoff run. Afflalo will earn $8 million over the next two seasons, which is a bargain for a player of his versatility. However, if the Knicks continue to struggle, a combination of draft picks along with the trade exception could be enough to have them part ways with the 29-year-old Afflalo.
