A trade involving Haywood and Novak would also need additional players on the Thunder’s end to match both salaries. In order to re-sign power forward/center Enes Kanter, the Thunder are going to need to create some cap space. This can be done by sending Novak, along with someone like Perry Jones III, to Cleveland for Haywood’s contract.

Novak would be the centerpiece of the deal for Cleveland. A phenomenal 43% career three point-shooter, Novak is a constant threat to hit from beyond the arc.
