9. 1958 St. Louis Hawks
The only team that won an NBA Championship (other than the Boston Celtics) in the decade from 1957-66, the Hawks were paced by NBA legend Bob Pettit, who had the benefit of getting contributions from future Hall of Famers in Cliff Hagan, Ed Macauley and Slater Martin.
However, this was Pettit’s team, which also had an easier road than current teams by only having to go through one five-game playoff series before reaching the NBA Finals, which they won over the Celtics in six games.
