1. Won at Los Angeles, 102-87 (2009)
Facing the world champion Los Angeles Lakers on their home court in a nationally-televised matchup, the Cavaliers led from start to finish, holding a 20-point lead in the second quarter. The frustration of Cleveland’s dominance got to Lamar Odom, who was ejected in the fourth quarter after scuffling with Mo Williams with 4:04 left in the game. Williams led the Cavs with 28 points followed by LeBron James with 24.
LeBron James’ departure the following summer took the Cavaliers off the NBA radar for their prestigious Christmas Day games. With James’ return, coupled with the presence of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, Thursday’s contest in Miami will be the first of a string of consecutive appearances on Christmas. Happy Holidays!
