Avoiding a fourth quarter collapse, the Cavaliers won for the fourth time in five games as Phil Hubbard paced the team with 28 points and 16 boards. Going into the final period, the Cavs led by 12, but needed a three-point miss from Dominique Wilkins at the buzzer to pick up the victory. During the final 6:36 of the game, the Hawks were held to just one basket, and were scoreless in the final 90 seconds.
