The Miami Heat are one of the Cavaliers’ few potential rivals in the Eastern Conference. They also have a lot of talented pieces that could be attractive to Cavs. One potential trade could send Goran Dragic, Wayne Ellington, and Justise Winslow for Irving and Iman Shumpert in return.
This deal would be attractive to the Cavs for a number of reasons. It would give them an opportunity to dump Shumpert’s contract, which has seemed to be a priority during this offseason after numerous trade rumors. More importantly, Dragic’s playmaking and passing ability work well within a Cavs offense in desperate need of another playmaker. Winslow could also serve as a defensive ace coming off the bench with a lot to prove.
