Last year, the weight of the 52-year Cleveland curse was on the team’s shoulders, a burden that was lifted with the Cavaliers’ first title. Instead of enduring one question after another about whether they can accomplish that feat, they have the freedom to simply play basketball. That lack of pressure can translate into complete focus on the game and not having to deal with anguished history. Based on their first eight games, such focus appears to be razor-sharp.
