For his eight-year career, Kevin Love has connected on just under 45 percent of all his field goals. With the Cavaliers, that number has dipped slightly to 43 percent, but the number Cavs fans should be focusing on is even lower: 40 percent.

When Love is able to hit at that rate (or above) this year, the Cavaliers have a 14-3 record, but below it makes Cleveland a .500 team at 5-5. Against Golden State, he hit just 31 percent of his 16 attempts, with the final score working against the Cavs.

Only three times this season has Love taken less than 10 shots per game, so there will be misses along the way. However, a greater consistency in those going through the net will obviously play a major role in what the team’s final record ends up being.
