5. You Shudder When You Hear the Name Stepien
For those of you who don’t know, Theodore “Ted” Stepien was the owner of the Cavaliers from 1980-1983 and infamously traded away the No. 1 overall pick in the 1982 NBA Draft, which turned out to be James Worthy. This and other questionable moves led the NBA to institute the “Stepien Rule,” which states that a team cannot trade its first-round pick in consecutive years.
