Five Reasons Why LeBron James Deserves to Win This Year’s MVP

1. Still the Best Player on the Planet

Regardless of whether or not fans agree with the notion, King James is still, without a doubt, the best player on the planet. At the ripe age of 30, and ever since the All-Star break, James and the Cavaliers have been on a tear. The Cavaliers are skyrocketing up the Eastern Conference standings and LeBron’s numbers are still among the NBA’s elite.

His scoring (26.2) and rebounding (5.7) numbers are down from his 27.4 and 7.1 career averages, but his assists this season (7.2) are over the 6.9 assists he averages for his career. Good enough for third in the NBA in scoring behind Harden (27.1) and Westbrook (26.5), LeBron continues to show how dominant he is overall as a basketball player with his success across the board.
