Reactions have poured in from every direction following Donald Trump’s presidential election victory over Kamala Harris, and it appears that one Cleveland Cavaliers legend is happy with the outcome.

Mark Price, who spent nine seasons with the Cavs during his NBA career, showed appreciation to a conservative activist on social media, thanking him for his efforts in the race.

Trump is now set to return to office for his second term after he also served as president from January 2017 until January 2021.

Although this year’s race was expected to be very close going into election day, the controversial Republican nominee was ultimately able to celebrate a relatively comfortable victory. He will take office in January 2025, when Joe Biden’s current term comes to an end.

The Cleveland area itself went to Harris, but Trump was able to win the state of Ohio. He was also able to claim other key swing states en route to his overall victory.

Price’s apparent support of the 78-year-old may leave a sour taste in the mouths of some Cavs fans while others may agree with his sentiment.

The retired NBA guard, who is now 60 years old, is regarded as one of the best players in franchise history for Cleveland. During his time with the team, he earned four All-Star nods and four All-NBA selections. He was also a top-10 MVP finisher in four different seasons.

While he experienced plenty of playoff basketball with the Cavs, he was never able to guide them to a championship. After a few stops with other teams, he retired from the NBA in the late 1990s. Many years later, he was able to see the Cavs win their first title in franchise history in 2016.

This season, Cleveland is doing everything in its power to challenge for another championship, with the team currently off to an impressive 8-0 start. But even with the Cavs playing well enough to capture headlines in Cleveland right now, there are a lot of folks who will likely be thinking about the outcome of the election instead.
