Depending on the circumstance, James will affect a playoff series in many different ways. If the matchup dictates him to being more of a distributor, he will play point forward. If the matchup calls for him to attack the hoop, he will live in the paint. This versatility has led James to amass incredible statistics not only in assists and points, but also in collecting rebounds.
James currently has the 15th most rebounds in NBA playoff history with 1,558 boards. If he can reach his playoff average of 155 rebounds, he will move into 10th place all-time. In doing so, he will surpass the number held by Boston Celtic great Larry Bird, and will only be 11 behind Hall-of-Famer Elgin Baylor.
