Perhaps no superstar has blended the ability to pass and score like King James. He is a ferocious scorer who also relishes in the opportunity to distribute to ball to his teammates in order to achieve total team success. However, at times James is needed to take over games. Isolation plays will always be a component to his success, and will be a part of him moving up the ranks of most career field goal attempts.
James finished his 12th season with 18,043 field goal attempts, putting him at 26th all-time. 1,400 attempts in the 2015-16 season (below his career average) would get him into the top 20. Along the way James will pass Hall-of-Famers Moses Malone, Hal Greer, Gary Payton, Jerry West, and finally Patrick Ewing.
