Aside from Oscar Robertson, no forward is as accomplished a distributor as James. James began the 2015-16 season with 6,301 career assists. That number puts him at 26th on the all-time assists list.

Over the course of his first 12 years in the NBA, James has managed to average 541 assists per season. 500 assists this season will get James into the top 20, edging out point guard Muggsy Bogues for 18th all-time. In addition to cracking the top 20, James will surpass the career mark of Hall-of-Famer Nate “Tiny” Archibald, as well as greats Stephon Marbury and former Cleveland Cavalier Kevin Johnson.
