5. Rudy Gay

As productive as a player this man continues to be year in and year out, he still has not been selected to join an NBA All-Star roster yet. However, don’t be surprised if that changes during the 2015-16 season as Gay is gaining the recognition he deserves from NBA fans for his scoring and toughness.

“You hear things that make you want to prove people wrong,” said Gay. “But at this point I know who I am. And luckily the people here (with the Kings) know who I am and what kind of player I can be for this team. That’s all that really matters. So I just try to tune it out and just play basketball. If I can go out there and do (that), that’s the best I can do.”

In 68 games with the Sacramento Kings this past year, his second season with the franchise, the small forward set a career high in scoring with 21.1 points (45.5 percent from the field as well as 79 treys made) to go along with 5.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists and one steal in 35.4 minutes per game.
