9. Tobias Harris

One of the NBA’s most underrated players, Orlando Magic small forward Tobias Harris is one player that should come to mind in terms of immediate success after being traded to a new team. After being drafted 19th overall in the 2011 NBA Draft, he finished his first two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks with an average of only 4.9 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 11.5 minutes per game.

On February 21st, 2013, Harris was traded along with shooting guard Doron Lamb and point guard Beno Udrih to the Magic in exchange for shooting guard J.J. Redick, power forward Gustavo Ayón and point guard Ish Smith. Harris’ playing time saw a massive increase in Orlando, and his stats followed the rapid increase as well. In his first year alone with the Magic, Harris more than tripled his points per game average (17.3) and more than quadrupled his rebounds (8.5) and assists (2.1) during the 27 games he played in Orlando.

After he averaged 17.1 points (46.6 percent from the field as well as 1.3 three pointers made per game), 6.3 boards and 1.8 assists per game, Harris was rewarded in early July with a four-year contract worth $64 million to stay with the Magic and. Harris along with shooting guard Victor Oladipo figure to be a fantastic one-two punch for years to come.

Next: DeMarre Carroll
