Cavs News: Sam Dekker to Miss Significant Time With Left Ankle Injury
- Updated: November 6, 2018
Cleveland Cavaliers forward Sam Dekker is the latest member of the team to be out with an injury after his left ankle sprain was confirmed by an MRI on Tuesday at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health.
Dekker suffered the injury in the third quarter of Monday night’s contest against the Orlando Magic, as the Cavs fell in heartbreaking fashion, 102-100. He actually started the game, but finished with just two points in 14 minutes of action.
The forward is expected to miss two to four weeks of action as he undergoes a period of treatment and rehabilitation.
In addition to Dekker, All-Star Kevin Love is also currently on the sidelines due to a left toe injury. Love underwent surgery earlier this month and will miss at least six weeks of action, with rumors spreading that he could even miss the entire season.
