This may be the easiest projection of the bunch, given the fact that LeBron James has already done it so many times before. What may be a surprise is that he’s yet to reach this threshold this season, with three 37-point games topping the list in 2015-16. While wearing a Cavaliers uniform, James has never failed to have a 40+ point game during the course of a season.
With teams like the Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic and Denver Nuggets, coupled with a pair of matchups against the Brooklyn Nets, there’s ample opportunity for James to cut loose. While potential blowouts in those games could preclude him seeing enough time to accomplish this feat, James has also shown a knack throughout his career for coming up big in big games. A number of those type of contests remains on the schedule.
