Predicting the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 15-Man Roster for the 2015-16 Season

Small Forward

LeBron James vs. Bucks

Starter: LeBron James

Reserves: Richard Jefferson, James Jones

There really isn’t much that needs to be said in this slide other than the best player in the world has this position locked up until the day he leaves Cleveland, or the day he retires.

James had arguably the greatest Finals series by an individual player and nearly led the franchise to its first championship despite all of the injuries the team suffered. Though his field goal percentage dropped by eight points in comparison to his last season in Miami, he remained every bit the dominant player we’ve come to witness over the past several years.

Richard Jefferson was signed to the veteran’s minimum, as was Jones. Both players are very limited at what they can do as they are both deep in their 30’s. James will average 36 minutes per game, meaning Jefferson and Jones will split the remaining 12 minutes per game.

At this point of their careers, the only thing these two can provide is three-point shooting. The Cavaliers are OK with that, and that’s why each of these guys will have a spot on the roster.
