Wright could continue the mass exodus out of Portland, following in the path of fellow Blazers LaMarcus Aldridge, Wesley Matthews, Nicolas Batum and Robin Lopez. Wright saw a steady decline in his production since the 2010-11 season in Golden State when he averaged a career best 16.4 points per game. One thing has remained consistent, however, and that is Wright’s ability to hit the three when given the opportunity.
A career 37% shooter from three, Wright has managed to keep his average above 34%, even as his role has diminished. He most recently shot 38% from deep in 2014-15, which was his best mark in six seasons. This trend proves vital, as Wright would likely not get a high volume of shots in the Cavs offense.
