In what arguably was the best game played of the entire 2014-15 NBA season, Kyrie Irving and the Cavs dazzled on national TV. Against the defending champion San Antonio Spurs on March 12th, the Cavs pulled out a thrilling 128-125 overtime victory at AT&T Center. To compliment LeBron James‘ 31-point performance, Irving played completely out of his mind.
Uncle Drew erupted for a career-high 57 points (20 of 32 from the field, seven of seven from behind the arc and 10 of 10 from the foul line) to go along with five boards, four steals, three boards and a buzzer-beating three pointer to force overtime. This was indeed a game for the ages, as the Cavs sent a message to the rest of the NBA: they meant serious business down the road.
