LeBron James not active on January 28th against the Portland Trail Blazers? No problem, Kyrie Irving‘s got this under control. Irving was absolutely magnificent on the night against a Trail Blazers teams who entered the game with an impressive 32-13 record. The All-Star point guard played out of his mind en route to a then career-high 55 points (17 of 36 from the field, 11 of 19 from behind the arc and a perfect 10 of 10 at the foul line) to go along with five assists, four rebounds and two steals.
Irving put the game on ice in dramatic fashion, as he drilled a three over Nicolas Batum with six seconds left and would later sink two clutch free throws to preserve a 99-94 win for the Cavs.
