After serving as a solid backup point guard for Tony Parker and the San Antonio Spurs for the first three years of his career, Neal cashed in on free agency and proceeded to bounce around the league, being traded five times in the last two years. Neal’s main attraction to contenders is his playoff/championship experience as a role player off the bench. He would be a very capable backup to Irving, and would likely not be overwhelmed in crucial playoff situations. The Cavs could feel comfortable with Neal taking action running the second unit as he is a solid three-point shooter and excellent free-throw shooter.
