Along with Jerebko, Bass was one of the few Celtics big men that did not scuffle with the Cavs in this past season’s first round playoff matchup. The 10-year vet saw a drop in minutes this past season, and to the minds of many, was underused, as the Celtics were swept away in the first round. Bass has always had a great mid-range game, and can knock down corner and elbow jumpers competently. He would also be a nice addition to the Cavs frontcourt, allowing for lineups that could see LeBron manning the point while Bass plays the small forward in bigger, more defensive-oriented lineups.
