Five Reasons Why LeBron James Deserves to Win This Year’s MVP

2. Post-Recovery Dominance

When James took an eight-game hiatus to rest his injured back and knee, it was clear as day that Cleveland’s team chemistry was completely out-of-sync. Once LeBron was back at 100% health, things just began to click for the Cavs.

During a span of 20 games after the King’s return to the court, the Cavs cranked out a dominant 18-2 record, which displayed a Cleveland team with unlimited potential for greatness. The run was sparked by a 109-102 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on January 11th at Staples Center, where James and legendary counterpart Kobe Bryant shared constant smiles, laughs and a high amount of mutual respect for one another in a very competitive game.
