3. LBJ tried to declare for the NBA after his junior year in high school.
Quite honestly, he probably could’ve made it on sheer talent alone too. But prior to 2006 (the “one and done” rule), the NBA required that players graduate high school before they could declare themselves eligible for the NBA draft.
