Drafted in 2003 and now in his 12th NBA season, LeBron James has quite the hefty resume. With four Most Valuable Player awards, two NBA championships, and eight All-NBA First Team selections, LeBron is widely regarded as the best all-around player in today’s game. With as much media coverage that James gets on a regular basis, one would think he or she knows all there is to know about the former Finals MVP. In any case, here are 15 things you didn’t know about LeBron James.
1. He missed 82 of 160 school days in the fourth grade.
Reason being, LeBron’s mother, Gloria James, spent seven days in county jail for a handful of petty crimes like trespassing and disorderly conduct. James was too embarrassed to attend school as a result. However, he made up for it the next year with perfect attendance in the fifth grade.
