Ben Simmons Challenges Kevin Love and LeBron James to Raise Money for Coronavirus Relief

NBA stars have already been incredible figures of positivity since the spread of the novel coronavirus turned much of everyday life upside down.

Tuesday marked another chapter in that story when Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons challenged current Cleveland Cavaliers star Kevin Love and former Cavs star LeBron James to join him in participating in a new challenge aimed at feeding those in need during this difficult time.

Simmons began his video by jokingly inviting a fan to “play in an NBA game” before breaking down the incredible experience one lucky fan will win by donating to the cause.

The young star then listed who he was challenging to join in on the challenge with him.

“I’m going to challenge three people,” he said. “The people I’ve chosen to challenge is Kevin Love, Nyjah Huston and LeBron James. So I hope you accept and I will see what you guys got.”

James and Love have already been incredibly charitable since COVID-19 brought much of society to a standstill.

Shortly after the NBA announced that it would be forced to postpone its games, Love donated $100,000 of his own money to help the staff at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

As for James, last month he announced that he would be donating 1,300 meals to students at his I Promise School in Akron, Ohio.

Surely, Love and James will happily pick up the mantle that Simmons has offered them.
