Kevin Love Responds to Alleged Rift Between Him and Dwyane Wade

The conflict between members of the Cleveland Cavaliers during the team’s recent struggles largely centered on criticisms directed at forward Kevin Love. Over the past few days, reports have surfaced that former Cavaliers guard Dwyane Wade initiated the attacks on Love. However, the veteran forward indicated that he saw no outward signs of any animosity.

“I know guys were pissed when we were losing during the time that it happened … I know a lot of guys were upset with the way things were going,” said Love. “I felt like when we were winning, we were rolling, you always see it.”

Love is currently continuing to rehabilitate his injured left hand that was broken during the first quarter of a Jan. 30 loss in Detroit. The original diagnosis was that he would miss between six to eight weeks, though he’s focused on beating those projections.

Wade was one of the six players traded away by the Cavs on the final day of the trade deadline, Feb. 8. He was dealt to his original team, the Miami Heat, in exchange for a future protected draft pick.
