Injuries have been a season-long issue for the Cavaliers, with players like J.R. Smith and Kevin Love missing extended parts of the season. In addition, nagging issues with Iman Shumpert and Korver have raised concerns about the team’s ability to remain healthy.
If there’s any good news to come out of those issues, it’s that they’ve already taken place and that the team should have a healthier and deeper team. That would be in contrast to two years ago, when Love was knocked out in the first round of the playoffs and Kyrie Irving’s lingering health issues finally caught up with him. Even with those dire circumstances, the Cavaliers still managed to reach the NBA Finals.
