Brooks signed a one-year deal with the Indiana Pacers back in July for $2.7 million, making Indiana his sixth team in 10 seasons. The bulk of his career has been in a reserve capacity, with career averages of 10.6 points and 3.2 assists while managing 22 minutes per game.
In 10 games with the Pacers this year, the soon-to-be 32-year-old Brooks’ numbers are down, at least with his 6.6 points per game. The assists have remained pretty consistent at 2.7 over an average of 15.5 minutes per game.
Brooks doesn’t put up a lot of 3-point shots, averaging 3.7 per game over his career. He’s connected on 37 percent of those attempts since entering the NBA, though that percentage has dipped to 33 percent thus far for the 2016-17 campaign.
