Until James left for the Miami Heat, he had never won an NBA title and in his first season in South Beach, his team lost in the NBA Finals in six games. When they won the next two years, James’ critics charged that the Heat never would have won without the efforts of Dwyane Wade.
While the presence of Wade certainly helped, it was James that not only walked away holding the Larry O’Brien Trophy, but also captured two NBA Finals MVP awards. Rarely, if ever, are such prestigious awards handed out to an undeserving player.
