After a determined effort in last year’s NBA Finals, Matthew Dellavedova worked on his overall game and came back a better player who figures to get a substantial increase in pay after this season as a result. Dellavedova’s offensive numbers have increased across the board, while his defense again is tireless and undoubtedly annoying to teams who take exception to his aggressive play.
Mo Williams has largely disappeared since Irving came back in December, but he showed prior to that that he’s still capable of giving the Cavs quality minutes. The combination of Irving, Dellavedova and Williams prevents the Cavaliers from getting worn out at the point. Throw in the fact that Tyronn Lue isn’t afraid to use LeBron James in that capacity and Cleveland will be tough for any team to handle.
