The Cavs opened the series at home on April 13, but the Bullets hosted Game 2 two nights later. Why the Coliseum wasn’t available for April 15 is something of a mystery. The Cleveland Crusaders had been eliminated from the World Hockey Association playoffs April 11, and while a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert was booked for the Coliseum, it was held the day after Game 3. The Bullets had no scheduling conflicts with the NHL’s Washington Capitals, whose season ended two weeks earlier.
